Welcome!
I currently serve as the Global Partner Enablement Manager for Red Hat. My responsibilities include developing, managing, and in some cases delivering the content and programs necessary for the Red Hat partner community to meet and exceed their sales, service, and
customer satisfaction targets. This is a similar role to the one that I held at Hewlett-Packard for the last few years.
The one thing that I can point out is that Partner Enablement is a dual-investment. The partner must invest time, effort, and in some cases make a financial investment in order to take advantage in the vendor's investment in content, delivery, and management of the program. By working together, each team is able to achieve much more than they could individually.
The true measurement of success with a Partner Enablement program is to examine the growth in license and services revenue and the improvement in customer satisfaction. A robust and important channel business is like any growing analogy ever discussed, when enablement is poorly managed or not given the correct tools to make the partner community more successful, the entire business suffers.
